Following an investigation by the Tuscaloosa Police Department, a spokesperson said officers believe that road rage caused the fight after a woman believed she was cut off in traffic.

Investigators determined the woman, identified as 24-year-old Kayla Alexis Figgers, followed a man and woman to the parking lot of the AT&T store where she threatened the couple and pointed a gun at them over the perceived slight.

The man in the other car, who also possessed a gun, drew it and fired at Figgers' car as they left the scene. Police have determined the man acted in self-defense, and he is not facing any criminal charges at this time.

Figgers was charged with menacing in the case and booked in the Tuscaloosa County Jail. She has since been released on bond.
