Captain Marty Sellers, the co-commander of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, told the Thread the Tuscaloosa Police Department responded to reports of a shooting in the 2700 block of 25th Street Friday night.

No one inside was injured, but Sellers said as the investigation was onoing, a male showed up at DCH Regional Medical Center with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, which was reported to the VCU.

Sellers said the shooting victim told investigators he was hit in the 2400 block of T.Y. Rogers Avenue, which Sellers said is right around the corner from the residence that was shot.

The victim reportedly said two males shot at him as he was riding a four-wheeler ATV in the area Friday night and were possibly trying to steal the vehicle.

Sellers said the investigation is ongoing and no one has been charged as of 8 a.m. Sunday morning.
