If you are planning outdoor events, be sure you keep tabs on the weather by radar. As always, I suggest during the summer months having an indoor option as well as a backup plan.

James Spann, ABC 33/40, and Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Chief Meteorologist said that we can expect the “usual mix of sun and scattered thunderstorms across Alabama and the Deep South through the holiday weekend.”

July Temperature Outlook

For July, “hotter-than-average conditions are also expected from parts of the Deep South” and “morning lows may be a bit more uncomfortable,” said the Weather Channel.

During the Day

For the Townsquare Media coverage area, temperature highs could range between 88 and 92 degrees.

Afternoon & Evenings

Spann said that “random, scattered showers and storms will form mainly during the afternoon and evening hours, from roughly 2:00 until 10:00 p.m. With light winds aloft, the storms that form won't move much, and they can drop lots of rain in a short period of time, and strong, gusty winds can develop. The chance of any one location seeing a storm is 45-55 percent through Sunday, and 30-40 percent Monday.”
