The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency and police in York, Alabama are asking for help from the public to locate a 65-year-old woman who has been missing since Monday morning.

According to a release sent Tuesday afternoon, Janis Elizabeth Jackson was last seen at 7 a.m. on Monday, May 16th in York, Alabama, which is in Sumter County.

Police said Jackson may have a condition that impairs her judgment, and anyone who has seen her or knows of her current whereabouts is urged to immediately contact law enforcement.

The missing woman is 65 years old, white and was last seen wearing a white tank top, blue jeans and tennis shoes. Her last known location was near Longshore Drive in York.

Anyone with information about Jackson's disappearance or current location is asked to contact the York Police Department at 205-736-5261 or call 911.
