Andy Hamlin, the District Attorney in Pickens County, said police believe Richard Lee Armstrong was speeding down Alabama Highway 32 near the Mississippi State line when his Dodge Durango left the road, struck a ditch and flipped several times.
Three people, Jeffrey Armstrong, Horace Armstrong and their cousin Joe Knox were all killed in the accident.
A Pickens County grand jury examined evidence collected by Alabama Law Enforcement Agency State Troopers and has indicted Richard Lee Armstrong on three counts of homicide.
