Utah State Head Coach Reveals “Advantage” Over Alabama

Utah State head coach, Blake Anderson, appeared a Utah local radio station on Tuesday to give his thoughts on the upcoming matchup against Alabama.

Anderson joined Hans Olsen and Scott Garrard from 97.5 The Zone, a commercial radio station licensed to Coalville, Utah and the Salt Lake City metropolitan area.

While previewing the Alabama game, Olsen and Garrard asked Anderson if there were any Aggie advantages or Crimson Tide weaknesses that could be exploited.

Anderson gave Alabama lots of credit and was only able to provide one possible advantage.

“The one thing that we have that’s a little unique at times is [that] out in space we’re quick and we’ve got some guys that can play quick and move,” said Anderson. “If there is an advantage that’s it, because that’s where it stops.”

This isn’t the first time that Anderson will be coaching against Alabama in Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Anderson previously served as the head coach of the Arkansas State Red Wolves, which faced off against the Tide in 2018.

Alabama handily defeated Arkansas State 57-7 and Anderson did not forget this experience.

“It didn’t go well,” said Anderson. “We went in so mentally overwhelmed with the environment and the task at hand.”

Will Anderson be able to lead the Aggies to a different outcome? Will the advantage he mentioned play a factor in Saturday’s game?
