A 76-year-old man from West Alabama was killed Thursday in a two-vehicle collision in Perry County, State Troopers report.

Corporal Reginal King, a spokesperson for the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, said Thomas R. Long, from Uniontown, was driving a 2014 Subaru Outback on Alabama Highway 183 Thursday morning.

Long's SUV collided head-on with a 2021 Kenworth tractor-trailer that a man from Jemison, Alabama was driving. Long was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

King said the crash happened around 10:25 Thursday morning on Alabama 183 near mile marker 11, approximately 11 miles north of Uniontown, in Perry County.

No other information was available Friday afternoon.
