Quang said the wreck happened a few minutes before 2 a.m. about five miles north of Gallion, Alabama in Hale County.

Patterson was reportedly not using a seatbelt at the time of the accident and was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, Quang said.

Nothing further was available Friday evening, and Quang said Troopers ALEA's Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
