Two Dead, Two Injured in Friday Morning Head-On Crash that Occurred in Greene County
A Huntsville woman and a passenger of her vehicle were killed and two others were injured in a crash involving two vehicles in Greene County early Friday morning.
According to Reginal King with the Troopers office in West Alabama, the incident occurred at 3 a.m. near the 51 mile marker on Highway U.S. 11, six miles north of Eutaw.
King said a 2016 Hyundai Accent that was driven by 58-year-old Frances McCreary of Huntsville, collided head-on with a 2002 Chevrolet S10 that was being driven by a Tuscaloosa man.
McCreary, along with her passenger, 63-year-old Joetta Lewis of Newbern, were both pronounced dead on the scene.
King said an additional passenger in McCreary's vehicle and the second driver were both transported to area hospitals for treatment of injuries.
No other information is available as troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency's Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate the crash.
