Tuscaloosa VCU Responds to Death at Home on Lake Tuscaloosa, Foul Play Not Suspected

Police are at a home on Lake Tuscaloosa after a death there Friday afternoon which does not appear to have involved foul play.

Captain Marty Sellers, the co-commander of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, told local media at 5:30 that the VCU is conducting a death investigation on Lake Side Drive, a neighborhood off Old Watermelon Road.

Sellers said there is no indication of anything suspicious at this time.

If no foul play was involved, VCU policy dictates that they do not release the identity of the deceased.
