Tuscaloosa Police Seeking Man Accused of Human Trafficking
Police in Tuscaloosa are asking for the public's help to find a man wanted for allegedly trafficking teenage girls.
In a Wednesday afternoon announcement, Captain Phil Simpson of the West Alabama Human Trafficking Task Force said police became aware of the suspect, Demetrice Undreal McKinney, in December.
After a short investigation, officers determined McKinney, who is 45, was involved with trafficking teenage girls and obtained a warrant for three counts of first-degree human trafficking in January.
The task force has been looking for McKinney since, to no avail. Simpson said he was last known to live on 26th Street in the Rosedale area, and asked anyone with information about his whereabouts to call TPD at 205-349-2121 or call CrimeStoppers at 205-752-7867.
Simpson declined to say any more about the case Wednesday due to the age of the victims and the sensitive nature of the investigation.
