Tuscaloosa Police Investigating Sunday Evening Shooting at Creekwood Village

The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit is investigating a Sunday shooting at a local apartment complex, police confirmed to the Thread.

Stephanie Taylor, a spokeswoman for the Tuscaloosa Police Department, said officers were called to Creekwood Village Apartments at 6:34 p.m. on reports of a shooting there.

Taylor said a 20-year-old woman was struck in the leg, and police do not believe her injuries are life threatening.

TPD will turn the case over to the multi-agency Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, who will release additional details if any are made available.
