Tuscaloosa Man Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash Saturday

A Tuscaloosa resident was killed this weekend in a single-vehicle crash in the Cottondale area, Alabama State Troopers report.

Senior Trooper Brandon Bailey told local media that 22-year-old Marcos Morales was driving a 2018 Ford F-150 that left Keenes Mill Road before hitting an embankment and then a tree late Saturday night.

Marcos was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the truck, which then caught fire after the wreck.

Marcos was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, Bailey said.

Bailey said the crash happened around 11 p.m. on Keenes Mill near Hurricane Road, about six miles east of the Tuscaloosa city limits.
