Tuscaloosa's Farmers Market will be twice as accessible for shoppers looking for local produce and more next month, the city announced Thursday.

In a press release, a city spokesperson said the Farmers Market will open every Tuesday in July from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. at its usual home in the River Market.

The Farmer's Market already operates every Saturday morning from 7 a.m. until noon, but this option will allow anyone who can't visit on the weekend - or who just wants to shop local on a weekday afternoon! - to experience the joy of the market.

“We are thrilled to add this weekly Tuesday market throughout the month of July to expand the reach of the City of Tuscaloosa Farmers Market,” said Tuscaloosa River Market Operations Manager Alexis Clark. “With live music and food trucks, this market will offer a relaxed and low-key shopping experience during one of our busiest months for Saturday markets.”

The city said the market will host 12 farmers and as many as 25 total vendors, including

  • Belle Meadow Farm
  • B&S Farms
  • Gregory’s Blueberries
  • Hale Farms
  • Harbin Farms
  • Harvest Time
  • Snow’s Bend Farm
  • The Shrimp Lady
  • Underground Forest
  • Udderly Joyful Soapworks
  • Washington’s Vegetables

As well as the following artisans:
