Tuscaloosa County Man Arrested for Possession Child Pornography
A Buhl man has been arrested by investigators in Tuscaloosa County after they reportedly found explicit images of a child on his phone.
Court documents filed on Thursday say investigators have charged 35-year-old Eric Obryan Ridgeway with one count of possession of child pornography and a second related charge.
Investigators reportedly received a tip about criminally concerning content witnessed on a child's Snapchat account, which led them to Ridgeway's home in Buhl.
There, Ridgeway allegedly admitted to possessing pictures of a minor on his phone and saved in his Snapchat app.
The phone was seized, and Ridgeway was transported to the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office, where he was ultimately charged with possession of child pornography and a second related felony.
He is being held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail, where his bond was set at $100,000.
