Tuscaloosa Attorney Clint Mountain Announces Race for School Board Seat
A Tuscaloosa attorney will campaign to represent District 4 on the City Board of Education in March elections, he announced Friday morning.
Attorney Clint Mountain is the managing partner of the law firm Mountain & Mountain, which he shares with his father Delaine Mountain, a former Tuscaloosa city prosecutor and then its Public Safety Commissioner.
“Serving others was instilled in me at a young age,” Mountain said. “The success of our schools is vital to the future of our city, and district four is the heart of this city. It would be an honor to help shape this future.”

His wife, Lindsay, is a Speech Language Pathologist with TCS and his daughter is a student in the system.
“I have seen firsthand the positive impact that the Tuscaloosa City Schools have each day on the children in our community,” Mountain said in a Friday press release. “I want to do my part to support TCS and serve this community by representing district four on the board.”
District 4 covers downtown Tuscaloosa and the University of Alabama campus, and while there are no TCS schools in the area, they still elect a representative to sit on the 7-member school board. The seat is currently held by Patrick Hamner, who will not seek a third term on the board. The district is represented by Lee Busby on the city council.
“Patrick Hamner did a wonderful job representing district four and was a devoted member of the board,” Mountain said. “I will have big shoes to fill, but I am looking forward to the opportunity to put my skillset to work for our children and teachers.”
According to his announcement, Mountain graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in business management and earned his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law.
He attends First Presbyterian Church and serves on several nonprofit and legal boards locally and throughout Alabama.
Tuscaloosa's municipal elections will be held on March 4, 2025. Check out our coverage hub for those races here.
Almost all other Alabama municipalities including Northport will host their own elections later in the year, on August 26, 2025.
