A truck driver from Central West Alabama was killed Friday morning in a fiery collision with a train in Marengo County, according to State Troopers.

Senior Trooper Vu Quang said Tristan G. Harris, a 37-year-old from Marion, was driving a truck that crashed in Linden on Friday morning.

Quang said Harris was driving on Alabama Highway 28 when his 2015 Volvo tractor-trailer collided with a train and caught fire.

The Troopers said Harris was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene, which was about two miles west of Linden in Marengo County.

The wreck occurred around 11:30 Friday morning. No other details were available Friday evening when the Troopers shared the story with local media outlets.
