Survivors include his daughters, Diane White (Earl) of Brookwood, Ala., and Donna Jessilink (Eddie) of Elsanor, Ala.; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Chasidy Marshall (Tripp), Matthew Pearson, Cole Sandlin, Brian and Jeremy Marlow, Heaven, Dustin, and Remington Miles, Turner and Trey White, Bodhi and Mason Marshall, Krissi Miles (Alex), Chad White (Leslie), Jacob Gaddy, Kissemi, Sharlotte, and Jerren Marlow, Elizabeth and Hayven Marlow.
He was a dishwasher at City Café at the age of 12 in 1946. He entered the U. S. Army at the age of 15 in 1949. He worked at Central Foundry and as a truck driver until retirement. He loved children and would give anyone the shirt off his back. There were two things he always loved: keeping a clean house and cutting his grass. The happiest I've ever seen my daddy was when Tonya Robertson came into his life as his caregiver. He loved her and her entire family as if he had known them all his life.
Pallbearers will be Trey White, Turner White, Remington Miles, Dustin Miles, Brian Marlow, Jeremy Marlow, Chad White, Hank Robertson, and Cole Sandlin.
Honorary pallbearers will be C.W. Booth, McCoy Booth, Eugene Booth, Ginger and Adam Guin, Richard Poe, and all friends and neighbors of Coker and Buhl.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of West Alabama.
