The Tuscaloosa Thread Begins Offering Free Obituary Services
One of the hardest things a person can do is say goodbye to a loved one, not to mention how difficult it can be when also juggling funeral expenses and post-mortem arrangements.
The Tuscaloosa Thread, West Alabama's newest source for the stories that matter, is looking to ease that process by introducing free digital obituaries for the West Alabama community.
The Tuscaloosa Thread's free obituaries offer space for a 500-600 word biography of your loved one and the option to include multiple color photos free of charge. These obituaries can also be shared across all social networks and via email.
To submit an obituary, people can simply visit The Tuscaloosa Thread website and navigate to the black topic bar at the top of the page. After that, click on the link that says "Submit an Obituary."
From there, loved ones will fill out a short form with information about the deceased, including dates of birth and death along with all the information detailed above. The Tuscaloosa Thread staff will ensure that each obituary is published within two business days of submission. All death notices will remain on the website indefinitely.

This free service would not have been possible without the tremendous support of local community sponsors like Red Oak Credit Union.
