Over 70 Employers Announced for Sewell’s Job Fair in Tuscaloosa Next Week
Congresswoman Terri Sewell has shared a list of more than 70 employers across at least ten industries who will look to make hires at her Tuscaloosa job fair next week.
The workforce-boosting event is Sewell's best-attended every year, and is free and open to the public.
Sewell alternates between rural and urban sites for the job fair annually, and this year's event returns to the Druid City at the McDonald Hughes Community Center in west Tuscaloosa.
There, a huge list of public and private employers will be looking to hire across all sectors - automotive, education, food & hospitality, state government, military, healthcare, law enforcement, transportation and more.
The four-hour event will start next Thursday, July 31st, at 10 a.m.

According to a press release from her office on Thrusday, employers looking to hire include Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, Tuscaloosa City Schools, the Buffalo Rock Company, seven state agencies, the city of Tuscaloosa, all branches of the military, 14 different health care organizations including the DCH System and UAB, multiple police agencies, UPS and dozens more.
“Every Alabamian deserves a fair shot at getting ahead, and that begins with the dignity of a good-paying job,” said Rep. Sewell. “That’s why since coming to Congress, bringing jobs and opportunities directly to the people of our district has been my top priority, and it’s why our annual job fair is one of the most important events we host all year. Whether you’re looking to explore a new career path or just starting out, I hope you’ll join us for an exciting day of networking and new opportunities!”
Anyone looking to attend as a job seeker can pre-register online or do so in person, although the Congresswoman recommended the former.
The event is next Thurdsay, July 31st, at the McDonald Hughes Community Center at 3101 Martin Luthker King Boulevard in Tuscaloosa.
