An 18-year-old in Tuscaloosa has been charged with attempted murder after a shooting on Elm Street Friday night injured two victims.

Captain Jack Kennedy, the commander of the multi-agency Tusclaoosa Violent Crimes Unit, said investigators have been collecting evidence, developing suspects and interviewing witnesses since the shooting.

On Wednesday morning, the VCU was able to obtain warrants and arrest 18-year-old Willis Battle, Jr.

Battle was charged with attempted murder and discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle. He was booked in the Tuscaloosa County Jail and remained there Wednesday afternoon on a combined $90,000 bond.
