Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's deputies arrested a man accused of stealing two vehicles Tuesday morning, including one he allegedly commandeered and gunpoint.

Deputy Jessica McDaniel, TCSO's public information officer, said dispatchers received a call at 8 a.m. Tuesday alerting them to the theft of a vehicle that had been parked on 23rd Street Northeast in Tuscaloosa.

As deputies responded to that area to investigate, a second report came in that a man had stolen a second vehicle at gunpoint from a victim in Brookwood.

Multiple TCSO deputies responded to the area and located the second stolen vehicle traveling on Highway 11 near Grey Hill Road.

McDaniel said the deputies were able to stop the car and take the driver into custody without incident.

The suspect, 39-year-old Patrick Darnell Campos, was charged with first-degree theft of property and first-degree robbery.

Campos was booked in the Tuscaloosa County Jail Tuesday, where his bond was set at $90,000.
