Alabama Baseball completed a three-game sweep over Xavier at Sewell-Thomas Stadium on Sunday afternoon to start the season off at an undefeated 3-0.

The Alabama Crimson Tide seemed down and out at the plate for eight straight innings today against the Xavier Musketeers. Until suddenly, it didn't.

The Alabama Crimson Tide, competing in the SEC Tournament for the first time since 2016, faced a must-win situation today in Hoover, AL. The Crimson Tide rose to the challenge by defeating the South Carolina Gamecocks by a score of 9-3 in the opening round of the SEC Tournament.

Alabama walks it off against Auburn on Owen Diodati’s RBI single in the 10th inning. Coach Brad Bohannon told Diodati to “just breathe” before the at-bat and he listened, bringing home Zane Denton to walk it off.

The Crimson Tide took it to the Hogs in Fayetteville, winning 16-1.

Alabama routs Jacksonville State 7-2 after tallying 8 walks.

The Crimson Tide and the Raiders agreed to move their scheduled Sunday matchup to Saturday to play a double-header and ensure all three games of the series get played. Sunday's forecast calls for thunderstorms throughout the day with the rain getting heavier as the day progresses.

This is the Tide’s first appearance on Baseball America’s preseason poll since 2014. Before COVID-19 put an end to last year’s season, the Tide went 16-1, which is the best winning percentage in Alabama history.
