As its August ribbon-cutting approaches, the anticipation for Northport's River Run Park sports complex is palpable, and the city celebrated an exciting new partnership there Tuesday.

Leaders in Northport say they're less than six months away from the grand opening of River Run Park, their signature sports complex under development on the banks of the Black Warrior, and they're projecting it will have a major economic impact.
