The Heisman race begins to heat up as we enter the heart of the season

The Crimson Tide commit will be competing with Tennessee commit Nico Iamaleava, Clemson commit Christopher Vizzina and USC commit Malachi Nelson among others. New Texas commit and consensus No. 1 quarterback in the class Arch Manning will not be participating.

The top-rated quarterback in next year's recruiting class, Arch Manning, announced his commitment to the University of Texas on Thursday, becoming the eighth commit in the Longhorns' 2023 class.

4-star quarterback Eli Holstein out of Zachary Louisiana committed to the Alabama on Tuesday morning, becoming the first 2023 quarterback commit for the Tide.

The Crimson Tide currently boast the No. 37 overall recruiting class in 2023 but have only accepted three commitments, leaving Alabama with plenty of room and time to secure another top-five class under head coach Nick Saban.

Enter Eli Holstein out of Zachary, Louisiana. The 6-foot-4 quarterback is considered a 4-star prospect by 247Sports and rated as the No. 8 quarterback in the class by evaluators.

The valuable 5-star from Louisiana will head to Tuscaloosa to watch the Crimson Tide take on an 'ole' SEC West foe.

Manning has a busy June planned, he was visiting the campus of the Clemson Tigers last week and is headed out to Texas and SMU this week and will head to Alabama and Georgia next week. The exciting prospect will be on campus in Tuscaloosa from June 18-20.
