The No. 8 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide took down two top-five ranked teams to win the SEC Championship in Huntsville, Alabama. Top ranked Florida and the fourth ranked LSU Tigers both came up short, finishing third and second respectively and head coach Dana Duckworth to claim the program's 10th SEC Championship.
Alabama gymnastics only has one loss in the season so far, and it was a close one. The ladies latest meet in Athens, GA Friday against the Dawgs ended in a final score of 197.00 VS 197.275. This puts the team at 4-1 on the season and 2-1 on the road. Although the Tide lost, a combined team score of 197.00 is the highest of the season thus far and there is still plenty of time to bounce back.
