Thomas has three more events after the Travelers Championship concludes before the British Open gets underway on July 14 at the famed St. Andrews Old Course in Scotland.

Thomas tees off in the morning group for Friday's second round. He starts at 6:29 a.m. with Viktor Hovland (E) and Tony Finau (+3). His round can be viewed on the Peacock App or on USA Network beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Friday.

Shelton was awarded a cool $135,000 winner’s check, and the win catapulted him from the 63rd to the 14th spot on the tour’s points list. The golfers who remain on the final top-25 list earn PGA Tour cards, with a chance to compete at the highest professional level in the sport.

Thomas, a member of the 2013 Alabama national championship team, referenced Nick Saban to SiriusXM PGA Tour Radio after his second major victory and included a shot at rival Jimbo Fisher after the coaches were involved in drama this past week.

The former Alabama golfer now has 15 wins on the PGA Tour, tied with Dustin Thomas win the most wins on tour since 2015. The next golf major is The U.S. Open the week of June 13-19. This year's event will be held at The Country Club, Brookline, Massachusetts.
