Ladies-Only Tap Dance Troupe to Perform & Teach in Tuscaloosa This Weekend
A globally known all-female tap-dancing troupe will be in Tuscaloosa this weekend to perform and teach the skill to dancers of all ages, skill levels, and genders.
Chloé Arnold’s Syncopated Ladies will take over the Bama Theatre downtown this Friday and Saturday to share their unique performance style, teach classes, and promote empowerment.
The mesmerizing show blends tap-dancing with contemporary music from all-star artists like Beyoncé and Janelle Monáe to create a signature sound where percussion and performance meet.

On Friday, the Syncopated Ladies will lead hour-long Choreography Workshops for beginners, intermediate tap-dancers with at least three years of experience, and an advanced course for anyone who has tapped for five years or more.
That night at 7:30 p.m., they will host an education Q&A session with an open improv dance jam for all ages and skill levels.
Their Empowerment Camp will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, and a public performance is planned for Saturday night at 7:30 p.m., which will feature dancers from the Choreo Workshops on Friday.
The Arts Council of Tuscaloosa presents the classes and show.
