Shirley Little Morris (July 30th, 1934 – October 20, 2022)

Shirley Little Morris, age 88, passed away on October 20, 2022 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Bro. Gil McKee officiating and Magnolia Chapel North directing.

Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by her parents, Gwendolyn and William Gray Little; husband, Byron Morris, Jr.; and daughter, Shirley Morris Zito.

She is survived by her daughters, Anne Morris Carter and Nancy Neva Morris; grandchildren, Curry Byron Carter (Amy), Evelyn Beaman (Jared), Sarah Catherine Morris, and Samuel Byron Morris; and great-grandson, Byron James Carter.

Shirley was born in Selma, Ala., July 30, 1934. She grew up in Linden, Ala. and was educated in Linden Public Schools. She attended Stephens College and the University of Alabama.

She was a long-time member and advisor of Alpha Gamma Delta. She was also a member of Junior Welfare League, The Pickwick Club, The Quaker Club, Virginia Hepfinger Bible Study group and the Crane-Willing Workers Sunday School Class at the First Baptist Church. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Tuscaloosa for over 50 years.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to the First Baptist Church of Tuscaloosa or your favorite charity.
