Severe Thunderstorm Warning in Marion, Fayette and Lamar Counties
The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for several West Alabama counties Wednesday evening.
The warning, issued at 7:45 p.m., is in effect until 8:45.
Forecast conditions include wind gusts up to 60 miles per hour and large hail, which could significantly damage roofs, siding and trees.
Locations impacted include Hamilton, Winfield, Fayette, Haleyville, Vernon, Sulligent, Guin, Hackleburg, Brilliant, Glen Allen, Detroit, Beaverton, Gu-Win, Weston, Bluff, Blooming Grove, Lamar County Airport, Brinn, Lake Buttahatchee and Crews.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 3 a.m. throughout all of West Alabama.
