SEC commissioner Greg Sankey took the podium at SEC Media Days on Monday to not only address the events of one of the wildest offseasons in recent memory, but also lay out the plans for the future of the conference as a whole.

Sankey spoke candidly about the moves other conferences made this offseason, most notably the Big 10 acquiring USC and UCLA from the Pac-12.

The commissioner was asked if the SEC's own pickup of Oklahoma and Texas trumped that of the Big 10 and he responded swiftly with a simple, "Yes."

Sankey continued, speaking on conference expansion, saying, "Again, we're comfortable at 16. There's no sense of urgency, no sense of panic. We're not just shooting for a number of affiliations that make us better (...) We're going to be evaluating the landscape. I'm not going to speculate. I am actually watching a lot of this activity operating around us, more so than impacting us directly."

Addressing the possible creation of what have now come to be known as "super leagues," Sankey again spoke simply, saying, "[The SEC] is a super league."

Nick Saban and the representatives from the Crimson Tide, Bryce Young, Will Anderson and Jordan Battle, will take the stage on Tuesday with coach starting the day off at 8:05 A.M. CST.
