R&R to Sell Limited-Edition Cigar Ahead of Tennessee Game
While the Alabama Crimson Tide may be taking on a different opponent on the third Saturday in October this year, one local business is keeping the historic rivalry with the Tennessee Volunteers alive with a special commemorative victory product.
R&R Cigars: The Cigar Mansion introduced a brand-new, one-of-a-kind item this week to honor the long-time tradition of the winner of the annual matchup smoking a stogie.
According to an article published by Cigar Coop, R&R is partnering with Lost & Found Cigars to introduce this year's limited-edition gameday cigar, "The Cigar Rivalry."
R&R co-owner Reagan Starner said he is glad he can provide a tangible part of the rivalry experience through his business.
"We actually have this cigar specifically made, and we're the only place in the whole United States that gets these cigars," Starner said. "And it is just for this game, so this is a very, very limited-production cigar that's only available one time, so the one we do next year will be completely different."
The Cigar Rivalry is wrapped in an Ecuadorian Connecticut casing, something Starner said is perfect for someone who's smoked for 20 years or someone who only smokes once a year. He added that the flavor is a phenomenally smooth mix that Alabama fans are sure to enjoy – assuming they're the ones smoking them this year.
"The best part about it is, you're going to smoke it and you're going to like it. A lot of people, when they smoke cigars they always complain, 'I've tasted that cigar for three days after I smoked it,'" Starner explained. "This cigar is not going to do that; you're not going to have that type of bad experience with this."
An order comes as a pack of 10, and R&R is only selling 100 orders total, so patrons are encouraged to get them while they're hot.
"I think we've sold a good bit already, so they're starting to go, and they're probably going to be all gone by Friday," Starner said.
