Ralph “Donald” Sanford (September 3rd, 1939 – December 12th, 2021)

Ralph Donald Sanford was born September 3, 1939 to Robert Lee Sanford and Alma Hallman in Fayette County. He went home to Heaven on December 12, 2021.

Donald was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters, and one grandson, Steven Parker.

He was married to Juanita Nelson for 60 ½ years. They had three children, Donna Gilliam (Barney), Robbie Sanford (Angie) and Michael Sanford. He loved being a pawpaw to all six grandsons and a great-grandpa to three great-grandchildren. He was an active member of Phillips Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.

Donald was a truck driver and owned J&D Trucking for many years until his retirement.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at Phillips Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Northport with viewing at 1:00 p.m. and funeral at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Terrell Jones will be officiating.

Pallbearers will be grandsons: Lane Sanford, Conner Sanford, Chance Gilliam, Trace Gilliam, Clint Gilliam; and his nephew, Greg Nelson.
