The Alabama Crimson Tide officially added a 4-star defensive lineman to its 2022 recruiting class. Isaiah Hastings is a 6-foot-4, 290 pound behemoth hails out of Toronto, Canada but spent his senior season of high school at Clearwater Academy International in Florida.

Hastings is considered the No. 29 prospect in the state of Florida and the No. 34 overall defensive lineman according to the 247Sports Composite.

The Canadian had over 30 college scholarship offers according to 247Sports. He chose Alabama over Florida, Georgia, Michigan and Oregon. He was recruited to Alabama by defensive line coach Freddie Roach and wide receivers coach Holmon Wiggins.

Hastings helped Clearwater Academy International win the Florida state championship for his senior year.

Hastings committed to the Crimson Tide on his birthday in November and has been compared to former Alabama player Christian Barmore  by 247Sports recruiting analyst Andrew Ivins. Ivins notes that the newest signee has longer arms than average and a strong initial burst.

The Crimson Tide is putting together quite a class to this point, Hastings addition helps Alabama's effort as Texas A&M makes a late push for the No. 1 recruiting class in the country.

The Crimson Tide was back at it on Saturday in Bryant-Denny Stadium. The Tide was more focused on execution of the offense and defense as the Tide is two weeks away from playing Miami in the season opening game.
