
Police Investigating Possible Wednesday Night Shooting Near Tuscaloosa Strip
Police in Tuscaloosa are investigating a possible shooting near the University Strip after an alleged victim arrived at a local hospital with a gunshot wound Wednesday night.
Stephanie Taylor, a spokesperson for the Tuscaloosa Police Department, said dispatchers received reports of a shooting in the 300 block of Reed Street, the short road that terminates into University Boulevard at the Strip.

That call came in a few minutes before 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Taylor said TPD and the University of Alabama Police Department both sent several officers to the scene and to DCH Regional Medical Center, where a patient with a gunshot wound arrived in a personal vehicle around the same time.
There were no additional details immediately available Thursday morning.
