Great news for the under-caffeinated or those who just love a good latte: PJ's Coffee will open for business this Monday, March 8.

The Tuscaloosa location of the New Orleans-based coffee chain will be located on The Strip in the building that formerly housed the Expeditions store.

PJ's Coffee at 1201 University Boulevard will be open for dine-in, carry out, and curbside pickup beginning at 7 a.m. Monday.

The franchise is owned by University of Alabama Wide Receiver Bill Getchell. Getchell says the location will also house a Rita's Italian Ice; however, PJ's will be the first to begin serving customers.

PJ's menu includes a wide variety of coffee and espresso based drinks in addition to teas and hot chocolates in addition to granitas and blended iced coffees. The new PJ's coffee is the second franchise location to open in the state of Alabama.
