Patricia Ann Murphy Stroup (March 17th, 1947 – August 9th, 2025)

Patricia Ann Murphy Stroup, 78 of Tuscaloosa, passed away August 9, 2025 at Forest Manor Nursing Home.

Services will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at 12:00 noon at Magnolia Chapel South with Rev. Ken Stroup officiating and Magnolia Chapel South directing. Burial will follow in Johnstown Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11:30 am to 12:00 noon.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Louie Stroup; parents, J.B. and Willie Murphy; daughter, Norma Stroup; and granddaughter, Tiffany.

She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Stroup, son, George Stroup, grandchildren, Tyler Jennings (Wendy), Steven Langley, great-grandchildren, William Jennings, Anna Jennings, and Elijah Langley.

Patricia was a wonderful stay-at-home wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved handwriting many recipes in a homemade spiral notebook, which she gave out as gifts for Christmas. She enjoyed listening to Gaither Gospel Music, Shopping, baking pies, and spending time with her family and friends.

Pallbearers will be David Payne, Tyler Jennings, Steven Langley, Dave Garner, George Stroup, Michelle Stroup, and Brandon Christian. Honorary pallbearers are Aspire Physical Therapy, Enhabit Home Health, Forest Manor Nursing Home, and Enhabit Hospice Care.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Alabaster Church of God in Alabaster, Alabama.
