It's time to pre-heat your ovens to 400º and get settled in for an evening: Papa Murphy's is officially opening its doors this Thursday in Northport.

Northport City Council President Jeff Hogg took to Facebook to say that the take-home-and-bake chain has its grand opening this Thursday, November 18.

"It's basically a Subway on steroids for pizza," Hogg said when he first announced the store's opening. "There are no freezers. There are no prepackaged items. Even the cheese is grated in the store. Everything is made fresh."

Papa Murphy's is ranked as the fifth-largest pizza chain in the United States. It has opened 1,500 locations across 38 states since its founding just over 40 years ago.

Hogg previously announced the chain would be opening its doors sometime this month, although he was not able to pinpoint a specific date.

The store will be open every day from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Papa Murphy's can also be reached via phone at (205) 829-6555.
