Mrs. O’neal Meggs Johnson (June 13th, 1931 – January 22nd, 2025)

O'neal Meggs Johnson, age 93, of Moundville, passed away on January 22, 2025 at Hale County Hospital.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, January 27, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Oak Hill Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel South directing.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Vaughn Johnson, her parents; Penny and Velma Meggs, brothers; Roy and Walter Meggs, sister; Ruth Meggs Holston, and her grandson; Lance Johnson.

Survivors include her children; Gary Johnson (Betti), and Denise Gore (Larry), granddaughter; Angela Johnson Sparks, and great-grandchildren; Samantha Johnson Jones, Payton Johnson, Keely-Hope Sparks, and Skylar Grace Sparks, great great grandchildren; Everleigh and Emerson.

She was a beloved wife, mother and friend to all who knew her. She had a soul full of love and grace and she will be sorely missed.

Pallbearers will be Phil Langford, Curtis Gvillo, Bryan Gvillo, Larry Gore, Sid Gooden and Dan Gentry.

Honorary pallbearers will be Barbara Jackson, Patricia Gee, friends and neighbors of the Stewart community, Dan and Melissa Gentry, Ann and Phill Langford and Nesa Terry.
