A wreck south of Cuba, Alabama claimed the life of a West Alabama man Friday night.

Trooper Reginal King, a spokesperson for the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, said 60-year-old Morrell Cook was travelling on Sumter County Highway 10 one mile south of Cuba when his GMC Sierra left the roadway and struck a tree.

King said Cook, who was not using a seat belt was pronounced deceased at the scene

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
