Tuscaloosa's bakery, located at 1393 McFarland Boulevard East, is one of the many national locations that will take part in the celebration, which, according to a release, is projected to give out more than 100,000 cakes nationwide.

The company is adding other ways to show appreciation to customers, including an online contest where a $25,000 grand prize birthday party will be given to one lucky customer, along with 25 $100 Nothing Bundt Cakes gift cards for runner-ups. Customers can enter the contest on the company's website beginning September 1 through September 25.

Nothing Bundt Cakes Chief Marketing Officer Angie Eckelkamp said joy is at the heart of everything the company does and the tokens of appreciation for customers are a way of saying thanks.

"Our bakery-wide 25th birthday Confetti Bundtlet giveaway and $25,000 party contest is our way of thanking our guests for letting us be a part of their joyous moments over the years," Eckelkamp said in the release.

The bakery, which started as a small business, was founded in Las Vegas in 1997 and later franchised. The company has almost 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada.
