No One Hurt In Shooting Into Occupied Home in Northport’s Northwood Lake
No one was hurt when bullets struck an occupied home in the Northwood Lake neighborhood in Northport Tuesday night.
Keith Carpenter, the assistant chief of the Northport Police Department, told the Thread just before 9 p.m. Tuesday that NPD was called to a home on Union Chapel Road in response to a shooting.
Carpenter said the shots were fired into an occupied dwelling in the 2600 block of Union Chapel Road near Northwood Lake Park.
No one was injured in the shooting, he said, and the multi-agency Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit is investigating.
Sources report police and canine units were in the area Tuesday night.
Although a man was fatally shot in the same neighborhood in September, the two homes are about two miles apart.
