New-to-Market Teriyaki Madness Officially Opens in Northport
The area's first Teriyaki Madness is officially open in Northport after a much-anticipated ribbon-cutting Friday morning.
The fast-casual Asian fusion restaurant first opened in Seattle and has exploded in popularity across the US, with more than 100 locations now open in 29 states.
Northport City Council President Jeff Hogg announced in March that Teriyaki Madness would open a location in the North Square shopping center also home to the new Planet Fitness gym, Firehouse Subs, Marble Slab Creamery and more.
Contractors were able to avoid major delays and finish the restaurant's buildout quickly, and Teriyaki Madness officially opened to the public Friday morning.
The occasion drew a crowd after the brand offered a powerful incentive - their first five customers earned "free Teriyaki Madness for a year" distributed as 24 vouchers for no-cost teriyaki bowls and the next 20 customers won free bowls for a month - four vouchers.
Those first in line aren't the only ones who stand to benefit from the new restaurant's grand opening - they're offering their signature Teriyaki Bowls at a discounted $6 on Friday and Saturday only.
