Survey crews from the National Weather Service in Birmingham have confirmed that storms damage in Moundville was the result of a tornado.

Wednesday's tornado is estimated to have been an EF-1 with winds of 110 miles an hour. NWS crews remain onsite and continue to survey the damage.
