King said 66-year-old Jeffrey Hunter of McCalla was riding a 2002 Harley-Davidson when it collided with a 2012 Honda Civic driven by a young man from Florida.

Hunter was thrown from the motorcycle and then hit by a second vehicle, a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado being driven by another man from McCalla.

Hunter, the motorcyclist, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

King said an 8-year-old, who was a passenger in the Chevrolet, was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash, was injured and taken to a local hospital.

ALEA said the three-vehicle crash happened on Eastern Valley Road near Foster Road, approximately three miles north of Woodstock, in Tuscaloosa County.

No other information was released Monday as Troopers with the ALEA Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
