The wreck reportedly took place before dawn Sunday morning on Interstate 20/59 westbound near Mile Marker 84 in eastern Tuscaloosa County.

Cap Ray said traffic is being diverted onto U.S. Highway 11 via Covered Bridge Road at Exit 86.

As of 6 a.m. Sunday, ALDOT had acknowledged the wreck and road closure on their social media platforms, but Alabama State Troopers had yet to verify the number of victims hurt or killed in the accident or their identities.
