Overnight Shooting in Northport Leaves 1 Injured, 1 Jailed
A late-night shooting in Northport left one person injured and another in jail, police confirmed on Thursday.
Captain Marty Sellers, the co-commander of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, said investigators were called to the West Circle complex of the Northport Housing Authority around 12:00 a.m. Thursday on a shooting call.

A 42-year-old victim there had been shot and was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries that Sellers said were not life-threatening.
After interviewing witnesses and collecting physical evidence, police believe the victim and 45-year-old Robert Hollie have had an ongoing issue that resulted in a fight Wednesday night.
"During the altercation, Hollie pulled a handgun and shot the victim," Sellers said. "He was located later in Tuscaloosa."
Hollie was arrested and charged with one count of first-degree assault. He has been placed in the Tuscaloosa County Jail with no bond until a judge reviews his case and sets one.
