Young Driver Dies in Predawn Crash in Northport Tuesday
A young motorist was killed early this morning in a single-vehicle crash in Northport, police there have confirmed.
Assistant Chief Keith Carpenter, a spokesperson for the Northport Police Department, said dispatchers received a call about a traffic accident shortly after 1:30 a.m. on Highway 69 near Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home.

NPD officers, NFR firefighters and NorthStar Ambulance responded to the scene and found a 2025 Chevrolet Trax had crashed there in a single-vehicle wreck.
The driver, 20-year-old McKenzie Miller, did not survive and was pronounced dead at the scene, Carpenter said. They were a resident of St. Clair County.
The cause of the fatal wreck is still under investigation by NPD's Traffic Reconstruction Unit.
