NPD officers, NFR firefighters and NorthStar Ambulance responded to the scene and found a 2025 Chevrolet Trax had crashed there in a single-vehicle wreck.

The driver, 20-year-old McKenzie Miller, did not survive and was pronounced dead at the scene, Carpenter said. They were a resident of St. Clair County.

The cause of the fatal wreck is still under investigation by NPD's Traffic Reconstruction Unit.
