McFarland Mall Demolition Scheduled to Begin Today

An improvement plan is in the works for Tuscaloosa's beleaguered McFarland Mall, and the first step towards actualizing the new vision for the property will begin with a literal bang this morning.

Real Estate Developer and McFarland Mall property owner Stan Pate tells Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa his plan to transition the old mall into a state-of-the-art Sportsplex will begin this (Tuesday, December 15) morning with the demolition of the building that once housed Chili's.

The Chili's building is scheduled for demolition after 8:30 a.m. and Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa will be live-streaming the event.
