McCalla Man Arrested on 10 Child Pornography Charges
A McCalla man was arrested this week after sheriff's deputies and other investigators allegedly found several instances of child pornography on electronic devices he owned.
According to court documents filed Friday, the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office received a tip from the Alabama Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force that an illegal image had been downloaded via a messaging app registered to an IP address in Tuscaloosa County.

Deputies responded to an address on Sandy Drive in McCalla and seized several phones, tablets and computers on January 16th. A forensic search identified at least ten photo or video files containing illegal child pornography, and each file is a separate crime in Alabama.
Samuel Donald Edward Raper, a 25-year-old McCalla man, was arrested Friday and charged with ten counts of possession of child pornography.
He was booked in the Tuscaloosa County Jail, where he remains on a consolidated $45,000 bond.
